Internal tire thread:<\/strong><\/p>

The internal \u2019skeleton\u2019 in your tire consists of multiple layers which is called threads. The internal threads consists of a rubber coated textile fabric. The thread construction makes the tire flexible \u2013 without it being able to stretch. A big part of the tire\u2019s strength is due to a sturdy thread layer called \u2018casing thread\u2019, which is placed above the center\u00a0layers of the tire.<\/p>


Belt:<\/strong><\/p>

Steel belts strengthen the tire and add stiffness. It is made from braided\u00a0steel wire, which is covered by a rubber\u00a0compound. Some tires also contain\u00a0kevlar thread, which adds extra strength,\u00a0lengthens the lifetime of the tire and\u00a0adds greater sustainability to damage.<\/p>


Shoulder:<\/strong><\/p>

The faceted edge, where the\u00a0external tire thread and the sidewall\u00a0meet, is referred to as the \u2018shoulder\u2019.\u00a0A tire\u2019s performance in turns and\u00a0maneuvering in sloped terrain is greatly\u00a0determined by the \u2018shoulder\u2019s\u2019 shape.<\/p>


Grooves and lamella:<\/strong><\/p>

The deep grooves between the external tire thread are important, because they lead water, mud and snow away from the surface. Small cuts in the external thread blocks are known as lamella, and are designed to provide extra traction. The groove shapes are especially important for tires designed to run in difficult conditions, such as winter or heavy rain.<\/p>


Beads:<\/strong><\/p>

Beads create an airtight seal between the tire and the rim. It consists of powerfully braided steel covered in\u00a0rubber.<\/p>


Sidewall:<\/strong><\/p>

The sidewall is the part of the\u00a0tire between the beads and the external\u00a0tire thread. It consists of thick rubber,\u00a0which increases the stability. Important\u00a0information such as size, speed\/load\u00a0index and recommended tire pressure is\u00a0printed onto the sidewall.<\/p>


External tire thread:<\/strong><\/p>

The wide external\u00a0area covered in soft rubber, which\u00a0is in contact with the road surface,\u00a0ensures tire grip and comfort. The two\u00a0biggest factors that matter for a tire\u2019s\u00a0performance are; the shape of the\u00a0external tire thread cuts, and the actual\u00a0rubber compound.<\/p>


Rib:<\/strong><\/p>

The unbroken line that travels the\u00a0middle and around the tire is known as\u00a0a rib. Its purpose is to provide extra\u00a0reinforcement.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
